Central Noble Varsity Cougars With Tough Game Against Angola By GameChanger Media Central Noble Varsity Cougars had trouble keeping up with Angola in a 15-5 loss on Thursday. Central Noble Varsity Cougars opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Central Noble Varsity Cougars first got on the board when Parker Boots singled, scoring two runs. Angola captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the first when Stewry drew a walk, scoring one run, Corbin Douglas induced Hawrt to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Stuckey singled, scoring two runs. Brody Morgan grounded out, which helped Central Noble Varsity Cougars tie the game at four in the top of the second. Angola flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 9-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Stewry that drove in two. Angola scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Stewry singled, scoring one run, Stewry doubled, scoring two runs, Stuckey singled, scoring one run, Stewry lined out, scoring one run, and Roan singled, scoring one run. Warren earned the win for Angola. The starter allowed three hits and five runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking four. Douglas stepped on the bump first for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and four runs over one inning, striking out one and walking three. Landen Burkhart, Boots, and Caden Douglas each collected one hit for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Burkhart, Boots, Morgan, and Brayden Arbogast each drove in one run for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Angola tallied 14 hits in the game. Heigler led Angola with three hits in four at bats.
