Central Noble Varsity Cougars Claim Victory Over Garrett By GameChanger Media Central Noble Varsity Cougars outsted Garrett 7-4 on Tuesday. Garrett jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after an error scored two runs, and Grant Byers singled, scoring one run. Central Noble Varsity Cougars flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Corbin Douglas that drove in two. Douglas earned the win for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. The hurler surrendered four hits and four runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Jackson Ice took the loss for Garrett. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on six hits, striking out three and walking three. Landyn Champion and Landen Burkhart each collected two hits for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Douglas and Champion each drove in two runs for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Number seven hitter, Keagan Jobe, showed the depth of Garrett's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Byers led Garrett with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Garrett turned one double play in the game. Garrett didn't commit a single error in the field. Kaleb Deck had the most chances in the field with five.
