Central Noble Boys Finish 11th with 22 points at the NorthSide Relays The Central Noble boys track and field team brought energy and determination to the NorthSide Relays on Saturday, April 19, turning in a series of solid performances across sprints, distance relays, and field events. Relays Show Grit and Teamwork The Cougars had a strong showing in the 4x800-meter relay, with the team of Kyle Knafel, Keegan Knight, Jaxon Kitchen, and Ruger Lough earning an impressive 8th-place finish with a time of 9:01.59, securing 6 points. In the distance medley relay, the squad of Kitchen, Redick Zolman, Knight, and Knafel clocked in at 11:57.69, taking 7th place and adding 5 more points to the team total. Despite stiff competition, Central Noble continued to battle in the sprint relays. The 4x100 relay team of Adam Marker, Branson Klink, Redick Zolman, and Michael Slone finished 12th in 46.32, contributing 4 points. The 4x200 team of Dalton Bergman, Sebastyn Duncan, Marker, and Nathaniel Rice placed 13th (1:46.19), while the 4x400 team of Slone, Kitchen, Drake Cavanaugh, and Zolman crossed the line in 3:55.44 for 14th place, both earning additional team points. In the sprint medley, Bergman, Rice, Duncan, and Cavanaugh finished 13th with a time of 1:59.27, scoring 2 points. Standouts in the Field In field events, Adam Marker had a strong outing in the shot put, placing 4th in Division 1 with a throw of 43’ 4.5”, earning 5 points. Jack Knepper added to the effort in the discus, placing 6th in Division 1 with a throw of 119’, good for 3 points. Freshman Dalton Bergman made a notable impact in the pole vault, finishing 4th in Division 2 after clearing 9’ 0” and securing 5 points for the Cougars. Fellow freshman Shawn McFall earned 2 points in the high jump, clearing 5’ 2” to take 7th in Division 2. Strong Effort on the Track Sophomore Michael Slone led the individual sprint effort in the 100-meter dash, placing 10th in Division 1 with a time of 11.71. Although just outside scoring position, Slone played a key role in multiple relays. Freshman Bryson Stump also competed in the shot put (30’ 3”) in Division 2, gaining valuable experience in a competitive field.
