Carroll Dominates Elkhart to Advance to Sectional Final

The Carroll Chargers delivered a commanding performance Friday night, defeating Elkhart 49–14 in the IHSAA Sectional Semi-Finals. With a fast start and balanced attack, Carroll improved to 7–3 on the season and punched its ticket to the sectional championship game. First Quarter Firestorm The Chargers wasted no time asserting control, erupting for 28 points in the opening quarter. Quarterback Gabe Frisinger set the tone with two rushing touchdowns, including a 9-yard keeper on the opening drive and a 7-yard score later in the quarter. He also connected with Harrison Scheele for a 2-point conversion. Running backs Asher Wagoner and Jackson Rhoades each added short touchdown runs to cap off a dominant first frame. Offensive Balance and Defensive Pressure Frisinger finished the night with 222 passing yards and a 35-yard touchdown strike to Scheele just before halftime. He also rushed for 52 yards and two scores. Rhoades led the ground game with 84 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, while Wagoner and Eli Neuhouser each added rushing scores. Neuhouser had a standout all-around game, contributing a rushing touchdown, 7 PATs, a 35-yard punt, and a team-high 10 tackles on defense. Carroll’s defense forced three turnovers, including two interceptions and a fumble recovery, setting up short fields and keeping Elkhart’s offense in check. Coleman Tipton, Evan Brubaker, and Austin Rohrs each contributed multiple tackles, with Rohrs adding 1.5 tackles for loss. Next Up Carroll advances to the Sectional Final next Friday against Northrop, where they’ll look to continue their postseason run and capture a sectional title. With momentum on their side and a potent offense firing on all cylinders, the Chargers are poised for another deep playoff push.
