Carroll Volleyball Punches Ticket to State Championship

The #7-ranked Carroll Chargers are headed back to the state championship after a thrilling Semi-State run that showcased grit, talent, and championship-caliber teamwork. Semi-State Semi-Final: Carroll vs. Westfield In a five-set battle between two nationally ranked programs, Carroll outlasted #13 Westfield in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The Chargers rallied to win 23-25, 26-24, 25-17, 20-25, 15-8. Bailey Sinish led the charge with 28 kills and 11 digs. Sophia Gisslen orchestrated the offense with 54 assists. Sarah Stegall added 11 kills and a block. Elli Oskey contributed 11 kills and 3 blocks. Cala Haffner anchored the defense with 23 digs. Paityn Lauck chipped in 4 kills and 3 blocks. It was a high-level contest between two of the best teams in the country, with Carroll showing resilience and poise in the decisive fifth set. Semi-State Final: Carroll vs. Crown Point Carroll carried its momentum into the final, defeating Crown Point in four sets: 25-12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23. Bailey Sinish continued her dominance with 24 kills, 3 aces, 11 digs, and 2 blocks. Sophia Gisslen added 48 assists and 4 blocks. Sarah Stegall posted 12 kills, 1 dig, and 1 block. Elli Oskey recorded 11 kills and 6 blocks. Lola Sasse and Addi Shippy combined for 11 blocks. Cala Haffner led the back row with 25 digs. Looking Ahead Carroll advances to the IHSAA State Championship on Saturday, November 8, where they will face Plainfield. The Chargers are aiming to defend their title and secure back-to-back state championships.
