It was a dominant weekend for Carroll athletics, with big wins across soccer, volleyball, cross country, and tennis. ⚽ Boys Soccer Blanks Mishawaka Marian Carroll boys soccer rolled to a 7–0 victory over Mishawaka Marian. Joey Casaburo led the scoring with 4 goals, while Landon Wells added 2 and Cole Zent chipped in 1. Wells and Sam Barnard each had 2 assists, with Cooper Goss adding another. Boston Stansifer recorded 2 saves and earned the shutout in goal. 🏐 Girls Volleyball Wins Tom Heck Invite The Chargers went a perfect 4–0 at the Tom Heck Invitational at Penn, winning every set and defeating Homestead in the finals. Carroll’s depth and consistency were on full display throughout the day. ⚽ Girls Soccer Impresses at St. Joseph Invite Carroll girls soccer tied Mishawaka Marian 0–0 on Friday, then exploded for a 7–3 win over Chesterton on Saturday. Nadia Ford scored 4 goals, Gianna Lockman added 2, and Ali Bobay netted 1. Brynne Patterson, Aleah Douglass, Eva McInturff, and Addy Glick each contributed assists. The Chargers are now 3–0–1 on the season. 🏃♂️ Boys Cross Country Wins Huntington North Invite Carroll boys cross country took 1st place at the Huntington North Invite. Top finishers included Sam Sweet (3rd), Kai Feasel (6th), Will LeCoque (8th), Charlie Mitchell (14th), and Cal Sloffer (15th). 🏃♀️ Girls Cross Country Finishes 2nd The girls placed 2nd at Huntington North, led by Olivia Conlon (6th) and Cate Sunderlin (8th). Natalie Blume, Claire Lane, and Mavee Clark rounded out the top five. ⛳ Girls Golf Takes 3rd at New Haven Invite Carroll girls golf placed 3rd with a team score of 328. Larkins finished runner-up with a 70, followed by Winter (85), Bowman (86), Geller (87), and Dimberio (89). 🎾 Boys Tennis Defeats Kokomo 3–2 Carroll boys tennis earned a hard-fought 3–2 win over Kokomo at Plymouth. Andrew Jamison won at No. 1 singles (6–1, 6–3), Tim Croft battled for a win at No. 2 (6–3, 7–5), and Alex Sznaza clinched No. 3 singles (6–1, 6–2). In doubles, Sam Mettler & Jack Jones and Boston Smith & Alex Holley both fell in competitive matches. 🏈 Varsity Football Falls to Hamilton Southeastern 14–7 The Carroll varsity football team moved to 0–1 with a 14–7 loss at Hamilton Southeastern on Friday night. The Royals struck first with a touchdown pass in the first quarter and led 7–0 at halftime. Eli Neuhauser brought the Chargers level with a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. But the Royals scored the winning touchdown midway through the third quarter to hand Carroll its first loss of the season.
