Carroll High School’s varsity volleyball team kicked off its season with a commanding victory, sweeping their opponent and securing their first win of the year. The Chargers showcased a balanced attack and strong defensive execution, setting the tone for what looks to be a promising campaign. Leading the offensive charge was Senior Bailey Sinish, who delivered 16 kills on 34 attack attempts, consistently overpowering the opposing front line. Setter Sophia Gisslen orchestrated the offense with precision, tallying 32 assists and keeping Carroll’s attack unpredictable and fluid. On the defensive end, Cala Haffner anchored the back row with 10 digs and added four aces from the service line, contributing on both ends of the court. At the net, Addi Shipley stood tall with four defensive blocks, helping shut down the opponent’s attack. With standout performances across key positions, Carroll’s first win of the season was a complete team effort. The Chargers now look ahead with confidence as they prepare for their next matchup as they host Snider High School.
