Caro Junior/Senior High School

The Caro Tigers Varsity Football team improved to 2-0 with a 28-6 win over Harbor Beach. The Pirates scored late in the first quarter on a recovered fumble in the end zone. The 2 point conversion was stuffed as Harbor Beach led 6-0 after the first quarter. The Tigers would find the end zone in the second quarter as Mason Henry connected with Brady Parker on a 17 yard touchdown reception. Landyn Stine added the PAT giving the Tigers a 7-6 lead. Caro would strike again before the half as Mason Henry connected with Jaxon Stephens on a 33 yard touchdown reception. Stine would add the PAT giving the Tigers a 14-6 halftime lead. Then second half saw the Tigers extend their lead as Aaden Savage hit paydirt on a 40 yard rushing touchdown. Stine connected again on the PAT giving the Tigers a 21-6 lead after three quarters. Brexton Groosbeck would add a one yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Stine was again perfect on the PAT. Caro ended the night with 133 rushing yards and 218 passing yards. Mason Henry led the Tigers completing 17 of 21 passes for two touchdowns. Brady Parker had 9 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown. Jaxon Stephens added 3 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown. Aedan Savage led the ground game with 68 yards on 6 carries and a touchdown. The Tigers held Harbor Beach to a 121 total yards and recovered 4 fumbles. Grossbeck led the Tiger defense with 7 tackles. Caro returns to action Friday, September 11 as they travel to Sandusky (1-1). Game time is 7:00 PM.
