Last night, the Warrior Boys Track Team concluded its season at the Valparaiso Regional. Competitors were Trevon Farmer in the high jump and Zayshaun Sprouse in the 400-meter dash. Zayshaun ran a gutsy 400, surging to the lead in his heat through the opening half of the race. He finished with a time of 52.72, which was his second fastest time of the season. Trevon, a first-year jumper for the Warriors, finished tied for 6th place with a jump of six feet even. One bar clear away from the state finals in a dogfight of a competition. An amazing feat for the Warrior squad rookie. Both young men represented Calumet proudly, with many large school coaches remarking how impressively they both performed. Congratulate these athletes today as you see them for their grit and determination this long five-month season. They deserve it!
