The Lady Warriors Track and Field Team concluded their season Tuesday night at the Highland Sectional. Each member of the team finished the season on a high note accomplishing “personal bests” in at least one event. Symphony Walton achieved a personal record in the 100 meter dash. Angel Hicks ran a PR in the 200meter dash Janiyah Bowie had a 6th place finish in the 400 meter dash and PR’d De’Jia Mance placed 8th in the 100 meter hurdles and 7th in the 300 meter hurdles running her fastest times in both. And the 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Arianna Mills, Amy Adams, Bowie, and Walton finished in 5th place. They had over a 7 second drop from the team’s fastest time previous to Tuesday night's meet! An incredible accomplishment and team effort feat. The Boys’ Track team competes tonight in their state tournament Sectionals at Munster High School starting at 5pm. Best of luck to those gentlemen competing tonight!
