After getting off to a rough start, the Lady Warriors Tennis Team found their stride taking their record from 0-2 to 3-2 this week beating River Forest, Hammond Central and East Chicago. Senior Clara Reeder has been taking care of business at number 1 singles. Paris Vargas has been showing up at number 2 singles. Number 3 singles has been tossed around a bit with Del Parrish starting the season, Janice Velez and now A’millia Stewart taking over. Sitting solid at number 1 doubles is Kayla Mayes and Arianna Chavez. And 2 doubles is Saliha Najib and Natalia Acevedo. Newcomers Alyssa Mills, Mariah Muros and Ja’mya Walker are finding their stride learning the game and I expect great things from them. Above all, no matter if they are winning or losing, the Warriors have been complimented continuously on their kindness, friendliness and sportsmanship. Keep up the great work ladies!
