By Dakota Tomac | May 5, 2023 2:27 PM

Yesterday afternoon the Fighting Scots dropped the second game of the three game series to the Falcons 2-0. In the top of the first inning, AJ Szabo singed on a line drive to left field. Caledonia couldn’t capitalize on the single and was held scoreless. East Kentwood jumped out to a 1-0 lead when a double by the Falcons cleanup hitter was able to score the Falcons first run. Both teams were held scoreless until East Kentwood was able to score their second run of the game on a passed ball by starter Nick Slater. Neither the Scots or Falcons could muster any more runs as the Falcons were able to hold on 2-0. Junior Nick Slater got the start for Caledonia as he threw five innings, giving up one run, six walks and one strike out. Juniors Corbin Raffler, AJ Szabo and Tommy Clarey all had one hit for the Scots.
