The cold definitely won in yesterday’s first game as the Falcons defeated the Scots 1-0. East Kentwood got things started in the top of the first as they were able to score the games first and only run on an error by first baseman Mckenize Parker. In the bottom of the first inning junior Kala Bisterfeldt was able to get on base with a double but that was the only hit for the Scots until the seventh inning when Malia Burke was able to single on a ground ball to right field. Sophomore Molly Lieske got the start for the Scots. Lieske pitched the whole seven innings allowing one run, no walks and striking out five.
