Caledonia High School Athletics

It was a beautiful morning on the lake shore at Macatawa Golf Club. When the Scots teed off at 9:30 am and it was a little chilly, but no wind at the beginning of the match, which is rare at this golf course. The Caledonia golf team bounced around from tied 2nd early, had a rough patch in the middle, where we were in 7th place for awhile. Water found its level and we ended up finishing in the middle of the pack. The Scots finished in 5th place, and there was a 7 stoke gap between 5th and 3rd/4th. This wasn't the finish we were looking for at this important mid point in the season, but we continue to be in position to look for an OK Red Conference Title. The title is there for the taking as the Scots need to continue to keep getting better and play well down the stretch. There are 10 medals given away at the Mid Season tournament for the top 10 golfers and Caledonia had 2 golfers take a medal home: Sam Baldwin had a 5th place finish with a 81 and Jacob Byanski had a T6th place finish with a 82.
