It was a chilly, and as always, windy afternoon yesterday at Macatawa Legends, but the Caledonia varsity golf team had another great start to their 2nd jamboree. Caledonia held the lead for the majority of the match and had a 2 stroke lead on the field heading into the teams last hole. A few unfortunate breaks and lead to a weak finish for the team. Rockford (165) ended up beating the field by 2 stokes and the Cal team tied two teams with the 2nd lowest score at the jamboree (167). With the tiebreaker, Cal took home a 4th place finish. Had some awesome scores with the difficult weather. Coach Ian Durkee tells me that he’s so proud of how the boys played in the difficult conditions. The Scots are currently 2nd in the OK Red and are 1 point behind Rockford with our home jamboree coming up on Thursday, April 20th at home. Team Results 1st - Rockford: 165 2nd - Grand Haven: 167 3rd - Hudsonville: 167 4th - Caledonia: 167 5th - West Ottawa: 177 6th - Grandville: 180 7th - Jenison: 191 8th - East Kentwood: 200 Cal Individual Scores 1 - Jacob Byanski: 39 2 - Sam Baldwin: 39 3 - Parker Little: 44 4 - Noah Abdelkader: 45 5 - Dylan Meduna: 50 6 - Mario Roeske: 54
