Caledonia High School Athletics

The Caledonia Fighting Scots had a tough time generating runs on Thursday, dropping the series finale with Grandville 9-3. Caledonia got on the board in the first inning. After an AJ Szabo walk, and a stolen base, Szabo was able to score off of a Derek Pennington sac fly. The Scots were able to tally two runs in the 7th but the Dawgs offense was just too much for the Scots. Aaron Hileman took the loss for the Caledonia Fighting Scots. The senior southpaw lasted four and a third innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out two. Alex Skibinski, Isaac Jurmu, and Nick Slater all had one hit to lead Varsity Caledonia Fighting Scots. The boys will be back in action tomorrow as they head to Byron Center.
