The opening minutes saw limited offense from the Fighting Scots. Hudsonville took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute. Reese Abbott, later in the half around the 30th minute mark, went just wide right from the left wing. Caledonia brought a ton of energy into the second half and didn't take long to tie the match. Freshman Breckyn Dixon fired a laser in the 42nd minute from 15 yards out into the top left corner for her first varsity goal. Senior Baylee DeVries then had a collection of shots on goal, with the first stopped on a diving save by Hudsonville's keeper just three minutes after the tying goal. The first 15 minutes of the second half belonged to the Fighting Scots with the offensive pressure. DeVries narrowly missed over the crossbar from 22 yards on the left wing in the 55th minute. Kayla Briseno had a golden opportunity on a open look in the 56th minute, but her shot went just wide left. Hudsonville scored the winning goal just a minute later to take a 2-1 lead. Caledonia will have spring break off before starting OK-Green play at home against Muskegon Mona Shores on April 14.
