Mancelona, MI — On Monday, Caledonia competed the the 2026 Division Two State Finals at Schuss Mountain against the best teams in the State of Michigan. The top three teams from each region in the State earned their way to the race to see who was the top team in the State and the Scots ended up seventh, in a very tough field of teams. "It has been ten years since the last team from Caledonia qualified for the State Finals and we are so proud of this group of guys. They pushed themselves all season. They finished every race leading up to the State finals either by winning or being second, which is an incredible testament to how hard they work and how focused these guys are on being a great team." Coach Petrosky. "This was the first time many of our skiers had raced against teams like Petosky and GNA and I think we learned a lot that will help us the next time we are in a race like this. We skied hard all day and ended up 7th place, ahead of the teams from our region" Caledonia took 5th in giant slalom, scoring were: James Prichard (22nd), Jake Potgeter (23rd), Aidan Brown (24th) and Peter Calhoun (37th). In slalom the following Scots scored: Jake Potgeter (24th), Jackson Otto (28th), Peter Calhoun (39th) and Aidan Brown (44th). Caledonia ended the season finishing 7th at the State Finals, Region 5 Champions, Clare Invitational Runner up, Bryan Groenevelt Memorial Race Runner up, and in 2nd place in the LMSC. It was a great season for the Scots and we are already excited for next year!
