Belmont, MI — "It has been a few years since our team has raced in the Norm's GS Championships, due to some scheduling conflicts. Over the years, our skiers have done real well here and it nice to be back this year" Coach Petrosky "They now have team scoring and our guys took 2nd place. It is always fun to race a different slope and doing well on one of the slopes in the rotation for our region is a big bonus. Jake, Jackson and Peter earned medals but a lot of our guys had nice runs that helped keep our team just behind the guys from West Catholic, who also qualified for the state Finals" Medals for this race are awarded by grade level and Caledonia earned medals in 3 of the four categories with Jake Potgeter winning the sophomores, Jackson Otto having the second best junior time and Peter Calhoun finishing fifth in the senior division. Team scoring was based on the overall, scoring for the Scots were Jackson Otto (4th), Jake Potgeter (6th), James Prichard (21st) and Peter Calhoun (22nd). The Scots have three races left in their season. The LMSC Championship race is Tuesday Feb 17th at Crystal Mountain, the Caledonia Invitational is Friday Feb 20th at Crystal Mountain and the MHSAA State Finals is being held at Schuss Mountain on Monday Feb 23rd.
