Caledonia High School Athletics

Cadillac , MI — Caledonia competed in the MHSAA Region 5 Race at Caberfae Peaks on Monday. There were a lot of bright spots in the race for Caledonia. "Our girls really skied well, against an incredible group of teams from our region. Our team is pretty young and we achieved a lot of goals today and we are excited about that. Kylee Zimmerer qualified for the State Finals, which is a goal that we set earlier in the season and we are really proud of her skiing. Kylee is an extremely mentally tough athlete and I am glad she is on our team, her skiing sets the tone and pace for our girls team." Coach Petrosky "Madison Reynolds and Ada Decker both had solid runs for the team today and freshman Ellie Radel scored in both events. One of our goals was to improve our finish over last year's 8th place and we achieved it with a 7th place." Scoring in giant slalom were Kylee Zimmer (6th place )with All Region Honors, Ellie Radel (29th place), Ada Decker (34th place) and Madison Reynolds (35th place). Scoring in slalom were Madison Reynolds (26th place), Ada Decker (27th place), Salome Rouhier (31st place) and Ellie Radel (33rd place). Caledonia has a busy week with a LMSC race this Wednesday and the Norm's GS Championship on Saturday.
