Caledonia High School Athletics

The Caledonia varsity girls basketball team got off to a slow start on Friday and were never able to get in sync throughout the contest. Despite working hard to try and close the gap, Wayland had a response for every Fight Scot run. Down 12 points after the first quarter, the Scots hovered around that deficit throughout the second and third periods, but ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. Brooklyn McLeod & Olivia Foster led the team with 7 and 5 points respectively. Jolie King totaled 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Kayla Briseno had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. The Scots travel to Mona Shores on Tuesday as they look to defend their OK Green conference championship.
