The 8th grade basketball team got back in the winning column last night as they hosted Tri-West in the first game of the County Tournament. After giving up 10 points in the first quarter including two triples, the Dogs defense woke up and held the Bruins to only 15 more points for the remainder of the game. This would allow the Dogs to advance to the second round with a 42-25 victory. The team had very balanced scoring with 8 players scoring led by Joseph Usani's and Gavin Arnold's 8 a piece. Zack Spina added 7 while Zack Hoover and EJ Johnson each pitched in 6. Usani had a game high 15 rebounds in the game. The team plays at Plainfield tonight in the Semi-finals.
