Bremen Athletics Announces Aaron Perch as New Head Varsity Baseball Coach BREMEN, IN — Bremen Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Aaron Perch as the new Head Varsity Baseball Coach (Pending Board Approval). Coach Perch brings a strong passion for the game to the program, having served as the Varsity Assistant under former Head Coach Ryan Carpenter for the past two seasons. Prior to that, he led the Junior Varsity team for three years, compiling an impressive 35-23 record. A native of Mokena, Illinois, Perch played high school baseball at Lincoln-Way East under Coach Paul Babcock. He continued his academic journey at Butler University, earning honors degrees in History and Education in 2018. Upon graduation, he started teaching and coaching at Bremen High School where he has taught physical education, world history, and currently US History. Perch’s experiences have extended from coaching travel teams and umpiring baseball in Illinois to coaching basketball and football at the middle school level for three years at Bremen. For the past three seasons, he has also been an assistant coach for the high school basketball team. Beyond coaching, Perch is a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the University of Alabama, and enjoys traveling to historical sites across the country. He cherishes time spent at his family’s lake house on Bass Lake. His parents, Adam and Kim, now live in Panama City Beach, Florida, while his younger brother, Joshua, resides in Bethesda, Maryland. Reflecting on his new role, Coach Perch shared: "It has always been my dream to lead a successful high school baseball program. After spending the past seven years in Bremen both teaching and holding a multitude of other coaching positions, it's become evident this is the place to accomplish that goal. Bremen truly is 'a good town.' Our coaches are passionate about their athletes, parents and administrators always show their support, and Bremen student-athletes are excellent role models both in the classroom and between the lines." "I'm really excited about our baseball team going into the season and look forward to this opportunity to continue building a strong program. I'd like to extend my gratitude not only to my own family for supporting me from afar these last seven years, but also to the Bremen school community for embracing me so warmly, and all of the athletes, coaches, parents, colleagues, and administrators who have put their trust in me, both now and in years past. I am eager to give us a baseball program we can all take great pride in." Bremen Athletics is confident in Coach Perch’s leadership and vision for the future of the baseball program, and we look forward to continued success on and off the field under his guidance.
