Bremen Tops Marquette Catholic 9-1 to Close Regular Season

Bremen finished the season with a 9-1 win over Marquette Catholic to clinch their 17th win of the year. The Lions played another complete game collecting 13 hits, allowing 1 earned run, and committing no errors on the day. Defensively, the Lions converted on 3 double plays on the day to back up the pitching duo of Brady Weldy and Casey Ton. On offense, the Lions saw 5 players collect multiple hits including Preston Williams notching his 6th straight game with 2 plus hits. Other multi hit Lions included Jack Wildauer, Zack Buszkiewicz, Zack Rouch, and Aiden Alvarado. Brady Weldy secured the win on the mound going 4 innings allowing 1 earned. Casey ton tossed finished the game out going 3 innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 5. Bremen will travel to Jimtown next Saturday to take on Winamac in the opening round of sectionals.
