Bremen Softball gets big road win at Jimtown 6-5 The Bremen Lady Lion Softball team held on & picked up a big road win at Jimtown in an INSC conference game on Thursday at Jimtown by a score of 6-5. Bremen scored in the first inning on an Eliana Grubb’s walk, & scored after a Chrissy Grabowski free pass, a fielder’s choice by Delainey Neher, and a big Isabella Calentine base hit. The Lions erupted for 5 runs in the 5th inning after winning pitcher Grabowski single, a Calentine walk, Madi Milleman singled scoring Grabowski. Alyssia Lopez singled and Macie Binkley then singled in Calentine. Peyton Reed then hit a two-strike pitch past the Right Fielder plating 3 runs to put the Lions up 6-2. The Jimmies didn’t go quietly, as they plated 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th with the game ending on a “shoestring catch” by Lopez to seal the win.
