Lions Varsity Baseball Wins 18-11 vs Tippy Valley

Bremen Lions Varsity completes a 4-0 week with a big 18-11 win on the road against Tippy Valley. Bremen got off to a slow start. Tippy Valley notched 2 in the bottom of the first after 3 walks loaded the bases before Valley doubled to score 2. Bremen responded in the top of the second when the bottom half of the order produced big which led to a Jace Pippenger 2 RBI triple. Valley scored 5 in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 7-2 lead. Bremen went on to score in every inning the rest of the way but took the first lead of the game in the top of the 4th by scoring 6 runs. The inning started with a Jack Wildauer walk followed by a Jace Pippenger double. Bremen moved to some small ball with a Preston Williams bunt single followed by an Aiden Alvarado squeeze that plated Williams. Silas Laidig was HBP then Zack Rouch singled scoring 2. Zack Buzkiewicz singled plating the 6th run of the inning. Bremen kept the pedal down producing a 7 run 6th inning as well. Great team offense saw 16 total hits including each starter with at least 1 hit and sound defense led the way moving the Lions to 3-1 in conference and 8-2 overall. Bremen returns to play SB Adams Monday at home.
