Lions Baseball Beats John Glenn 5-3

Bremen opened up conference play with a 5-3 win over rival John Glenn. The first 3 innings proved to be a pitchers dual with both teams taking no hitters into the 4th. John Glenn scored 3 in the bottom half of the fourth after a bloop single was followed up by an error on the Lions. 2 consecutive hits by Glenn plated the lone 3 Glenn runs. Bremen answered back in the top of the 5th with Max Barnes reaching by HBP followed by a Preston Williams double, Silas Laidig single, and JJ Cencelewski double to knot the game at 3. After a scoreless 6th from both teams in which Aden Hunziker navigated out of a bases loaded jamb the Lions rallied and scored 2 runs in the 7th after an Aiden Alvarado walk, Preston Williams single, and a 2 run double by Zack Rouch. Hunziker tossed a complete game surrendering only 4 hits while striking out 7. Lions host John Glenn on Friday.
