Bremen Athletics

The Bremen Lady Lion Softball team traveled to Westville for a Monday night game where the host Blackhawks 8-7. Bremen jumped out to a 1-0 lead as Eliana Grubbs lead off with a single then Chrissy Grabowski doubled in Grubbs. Westville answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame after an error, single & double. The Lady Lions recaptured the lead in the top of the 5th with a Grubbs double, & a Grabowski single scored Grubbs. Delainey Neher then singled in Grabowski. Westville answered again with 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th. Madi Milleman doubled to start the 6th, scoring when Emma Flora reaching on an error. Westville added 2 more in the bottom of the 6th to take a 7-4 lead. The Lady Lions showed Grit scoring 3 runs in the top of the 7th on hits by Kenzie Scott & Peyton Reed, only to fall a run short as the Bobcats scored the game winner in the bottom of the 7th.
