Bremen Athletics

The Bremen Lady Lion Softball team traveled to Middlebury for a double header on Saturday. The host team took advantage of a 3 errors and plated two runs in the bottom of the first. The Lions countered in the top of the 2nd with 4 runs on 4 hits & 2 free passes. The Lions manufactured a run in the 3rd, while the Raiders added one in the bottom of the 4th. Northridge added 3 in the 5th & two in the 6th to take an 8-5 lead. The Lions reduced that deficit plating 2 runs in the top of the 7th with Eliana Grubbs leading off with a double, Isabella Calentine single and a clutch hit by Peyton Johnson. The Lions failed to plate Johnson & the Raiders took game one 8-7. Grubbs had a pair of hits including a double. Calentine & Johnson each had two hits.
