Bremen Athletics

The Lions held on to survive the first round of the Everwise Bi-County tournament Tuesday night, defeating New Prairie 52-49. Bremen struggled to get on track all night on both ends of the floor and found themselves out of synch, due in large part to a tough and physical New Prairie team that played extremely hard. Bremen built a 10 point lead early in the 4th quarter, only to squander it and find themselves trailing late in the contest. Bremen got the ball back in a tie game, and on the final possession Riley Tener hit a three pointer from the top of the key with 1 second remaining to deliver the win. Bryce Miller played a key role tonight and led the team with 15 points. Jack Wildauer made a huge impact off the bench with some needed toughness on both ends of the floor.
