Bremen Athletics

Two out of our three ladies traveled to Penn High School for the Sarah Hildebrandt Invite. These two ladies took 33rd out of 51 teams. Bremen was one of the smallest teams there competing today. Makenzie Shumaker completed in a tough weight class today at 145. Makenzie got a bye first round, and then took on the 9th ranked girl in the state from Plymouth. Makenzie won by fall in 1 minute and 43 seconds. Next round she wrestled a conference opponent from John Glenn. Shumaker won 12-6. Makenzie won her semi final round by fall. For the championship match, Makenzie wrestled the 7th ranked girl at 155 who was down a weight class. Makenzie won by tech fall 16-1. Kayleanna Moser was in action today for her first meet of the year. Kayleanna had a bye, then wrestled a tough match against a Hobart wrestler and came up short. Kayleanna then wrestled a close match against Elkhart and come up short. The Lady Lions are back in action next Saturday at Rochester. Come out and support your Lions Lions.
