Boone County High School is excited to announce that the next head football coach will be Daniel Court. Coach Court brings 14 years of high school coaching experience across three schools. His football pedigree starts with his time playing and coaching at Highlands under the legendary Dale Mueller. Coach Mueller praised Court’s character, his positivity, his “magnetic personality,” and his football mind, calling it “brilliant” and saying “I haven’t met anyone better than him.” His former players praise his knowledge, his expertise, his energy, his attention to detail, and his ability to coach any position. Coach Court brings a familiarity with our students and our district. He has coached at three different schools, most recently as the defensive coordinator at district rival Scott High, where his 2021 team won a district championship. He has also been building relationships with Boone County students as a physical education teacher and tennis coach since 2022. Coach Court brings a clear philosophy and vision that reflects his joy and enthusiasm for the sport of football. He has concrete ideas about how to engage students in our building, in our feeder schools and in our community. Coach Court’s passion for the game, roadmap to create a winning culture, and focus on building complete student athletes make a great fit to lead Boone County to success.
