Beech Grove Middle School Athletics

Kyrah Pierle struck out 11 batters as they led Beech Grove past Monrovia 15-4 on Thursday. Pierle surreneded five hits and four runs over six innings while walking two. Hayden Fanning collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Fanning doubled in the third inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the first inning. Beech Grove captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the first when Addison Corn tripled, scoring two runs, Samarah Turner tripled, scoring one run, and Pierle singled, scoring on run. Beech Grove added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Kaylie Campbell singled, and Turner walked, each scoring on run. Beech Grove added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Fanning doubled, and Fanning stole home, each scoring one run. Beech Grove piled up 12 hits in the game. Fanning and Corn each collected three hits for Beech Grove. Pierle collected two hits for Beech Grove in four at bats. Beech Grove had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 11 walks for the game. Nola Alford, Payton Kelly, Campbell, and Turner led the team with two walks each. Fanning and Pierle each stole multiple bases. Beech Grove ran wild on the base paths, amassing eight stolen bases for the game.
