Beech Grove A Team has trouble keeping up with Lutheran Jr. Saints in a 14-6 loss on Wednesday. Beech Grove opened the scoring in the first after Addison Corn singled, scoring one run. Lutheran flipped the gam on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs to take a 5-1 lead. Samarah Turner led things off in the circle for Beech Grove. The starting pitcher surrendered nine hits and 10 runs over two innings, striking out non and walking on. Corn drove the middle of the lineup, leading Beech Grove with two runs batted in. She went 1-for-3 on the day. Hayden Fanning, Corn, Nola Alford, and Turner each collected hits for Beech Grove. Beech Grove had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Fanning, Kaylie Campbell, and Isabella Marrow led with two bases on balls each. Beech Grove turned one double play in the game.
