Congratulations to the Bedford Boys Track and Field team for their 6th place finish at the MITCA Division 1 Team State Championships. This is the best finish at the meet the Mules have had. The 950 points was enough to place 6th of 13. The top 5 schools were all from the Grand Rapids area. Here are the highlights: The 4x800m relay team of Cameron Varner, Logan Thomas, Dane Hieronimus, and Maddi Duke led the way with a 1st place finish. The PR time of 7:57.17 ranks #22 in Michigan and #2 for Bedford all time. The 4x100m relay team of Trenton Smithson, Bryce McCloud, Brandon McCloud, and AJ Varner broke the school record with a time of 43.92. They broke the record set last year in 2025 by Quindan Labadie, Sawyer Ulery, Caleb Agius, and AJ Varner. The 4x400m relay team of Brandon McCloud, Logan Thomas, Bryce McCloud, and Maddi Duke placed 2nd with a PR time of 3:25.35. This ranks #38 in Michigan and #2 for Bedford all time.
