The Middle School Boys Soccer Team hosted the Lawrence Tigers on Monday night for their eighth game of the season. The Vikings down their Co-Captain Diego Gamino, due to injury from a previous game, struggled to find momentum in the first half. The struggle created frustration and one of the defenders was given a red card after the Tigers scored their first goal in the first half. The Vikings, only playing with 10 players, allowed another goal by the end of the first half with the Tigers leading 2-0. The Vikings regrouped in the second half and found the intensity needed to tie the game. The Tigers answered back with another goal regaining the lead. The Vikings didn't hold back and scored another goal. However, the Tigers answered back with another goal retaking the lead and winning the game 4-3. Goals were scored by Jair Velasco, Manuel Cruz, and Taylor Flagel. Keeper Jacob Gamino had 3 big saves. The Vikings will be traveling to Covert to face the Bulldogs on September 30th.
