The girls JV volleyball team traveled to Centreville Tuesday night for a tough matchup. The girls struggled to settle in for the first set, but found their rhythm and confidence for the second set. The lady vikings scored 8 unanswered points during the first rotation of the second set taking the lead at 8-0, but ultimately came up short and lost the first and second set with a score of 12-25 and 23-25. The girls came out victorious the third set winning with a score of 15-13. Nereida Sanchez ended the evening with 5 aces, 8 assists, and 1 kill. Taylor Gardner provided 4 kills and 1 ace, and Anika Mortensen contributed 3 kills and 1 assist. The Lady Vikings have their first home game next Tuesday at 5:30 against Comstock. Come out and support our girls.
