Former Aquinas Academy standout Patrick Richthammer is already making an impact during his freshman season with the Christendom College men’s soccer program. Christendom is off to an impressive 5-1 start this fall, including a perfect 4-0 record against United States Collegiate Athletic Association competition. The Crusaders will look to continue that strong start Thursday, September 24, when they travel to Penn State Greater Allegheny for a 4:00 p.m. matchup. Richthammer has appeared in all six games for Christendom and has earned two starts as a freshman. He has also recorded two shots on goal while working his way into the Crusaders’ regular rotation early in his collegiate career. Christendom competes in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, commonly known as the USCAA. The USCAA provides national athletic competition and championship opportunities primarily for small colleges, including institutions that are not members of the NCAA or NAIA. Christendom competes nationally in USCAA Division II men’s soccer. The Crusaders’ strong start represents a significant turnaround from a season ago. Christendom finished last season with six victories, meaning a win Thursday afternoon would allow the Crusaders to match their entire win total from last year just seven games into the 2026 season. For Richthammer, the early playing time is an encouraging beginning to his college career. Earning minutes in every game and already receiving two starts as a freshman, the former Aquinas player has quickly become part of a Christendom team that has opened the season with five wins in its first six matches. Kickoff against Penn State Greater Allegheny is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24. ----- Follow Patrick and the Christendom College Crusaders throughout the season at ChristendomAthletics.com.
