Aquinas Academy is excited to announce the completion of a major audio upgrade to the Rhodora J. Donahue Gymnasium, bringing a state-of-the-art sound system to one of the busiest gathering spaces on campus. The new system was designed and installed by Hollowood Sound of McKees Rocks, providing the gymnasium with dramatically improved sound quality, clarity, and coverage throughout the facility. The upgrade will benefit far more than Aquinas Athletics. The Rhodora J. Donahue Gymnasium serves as a central gathering place for the Aquinas community throughout the school year, hosting school assemblies, dances, musicals, special programs, pep rallies, and other school-wide events. The new system will ensure that students, families, faculty, and guests can enjoy clear, professional-quality audio no matter where they are seated in the gym. Of course, Crusader fans will notice the difference as well. For Aquinas sporting events, the new system will provide a significantly improved game-day atmosphere with clearer public-address announcements, music, player introductions, and other in-game features. The upgrade is another step in Aquinas Academy’s continued effort to provide its student-athletes and families with a first-class high school athletics experience. With the project now complete, Aquinas can proudly say that the Rhodora J. Donahue Gymnasium features one of the top sound systems in the WPIAL. And when the Crusaders take the floor this season, the Rhodora J. Donahue Gymnasium is sure to be hopping for Crusader games.
