Aquinas Academy Girls Basketball is excited to announce the addition of Katie Hoff to the varsity coaching staff for the 2026-27 season. Hoff comes to Aquinas following a collegiate playing career at Grove City College, where she competed for the Wolverines after a successful high school career at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (OLSH). At OLSH, Hoff was part of a championship-caliber program and gained firsthand experience with the preparation, expectations and commitment required to compete at a high level. She continued her basketball career at Grove City, giving her valuable experience at the NCAA level. At Aquinas, Hoff will work closely with the Crusaders' post players while assisting in all aspects of the girls basketball program. Her recent college playing experience will provide Aquinas student-athletes with another valuable perspective on skill development, preparation and what it takes to compete beyond high school. "Katie is exactly the type of person we want around our program," said Aquinas head coach Deacon Andrew Kurzawski. "She has spent her basketball career in winning programs and understands the work and commitment that goes into building that kind of culture. Having someone on our staff who recently finished playing college basketball is a tremendous resource for our girls. She can work specifically with our post players and bring a perspective that is different from what the rest of us can provide. More importantly, Katie is a great role model for our young ladies. She represents the type of player, teammate and person we want our girls to become." Hoff also brings experience in player development and has worked with young athletes through Gym Rat Performance Training. Her background will be especially valuable in developing Aquinas' interior players and helping them improve their footwork, positioning, rebounding and overall post play. The addition of Hoff continues Aquinas' commitment to surrounding its student-athletes with coaches who can help them develop both on and off the court. The Crusaders are coming off a 22-4 season that included a section championship, a third-place finish in the WPIAL and a trip to the PIAA state Sweet 16. Aquinas Academy is excited to welcome Coach Katie Hoff to the Crusaders' basketball family.
