Lincoln-King Football Volunteers for American Cancer Society

By Marcus Green | Oct 5, 2024 3:00 PM

The Lincoln-King Football team volunteered for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides event at The Corner Ballpark on Michigan and Trumbull on Saturday. Members of the team arrived at 7 AM to help all attendees sign waivers and then the Eagles walked over to their cheer station a mile away to support and cheer on the walkers which included community members, cancer survivors, fighters and families who all came together to encourage one another for a cure. It was an eye-opening experience for the team who also took the time to clean up after the event as well. The team wore their "Pink Out" jerseys that they had on during their 50-0 win on Thursday vs. Mount Clemens. The Eagles are now 6-0 and playoff eligible for the first time in school history. They play at ATAP for Week 7 and are looking to go 7-0 to continue their historic season. Stay tuned to lkeagles.com for updates! Soar Eagles!
